How to refer
If you or someone you care about is ready to contact Break the Silence, please choose the right option below and complete our referral form at your own pace.
Break the Silence offers free, confidential support for survivors of childhood sexual abuse in North and East Ayrshire, including those who experienced abuse or neglect while in care in Scotland (in partnership with Future Pathways). We also welcome partners and family members affected by a loved one’s childhood trauma.
If you live in South Ayrshire, support may be available through Moving On.
We support people of all genders, backgrounds and identities, embracing equality and diversity. We are not able to offer services to anyone who has committed, been charged with, or been convicted of a sexual offence.
At Break the Silence, we only collect the information you choose to share with us. This helps us contact you about your appointments or with other information you have asked for.
Having a note of some basic details like date of birth, gender, reason for referral, and health information helps us meet our funding requirements. Anonymised data may be used for funder reports, always with care for your privacy and confidentiality.
By submitting this referral you are agreeing to your data being held as per our Privacy Policy. Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful basis we rely on for processing this information is Legitimate Interest.
