What Others Say
At Break the Silence, we know that reaching out for support can feel like a very big step. We want to give you a sense of what others have experienced – from the difference our support can make, to the care and professionalism people can expect when they contact us.
People often tell us that being listened to, believed and treated with kindness can make a real difference. For many survivors, the most important thing is knowing they do not have to face things alone, and that support will move at a pace that feels safe.
At Break the Silence, our counsellors work with each person as an individual. We aim to create a space where you can feel heard, understood and supported, while keeping control over what you share with your counsellor and when.
What people told us
In our March 2026 client feedback survey:
felt they were treated with dignity and respect
said that on initial contact, staff were helpful, professional and responsive
said their counsellor was professional and understanding
said they could access the service in a way that supported their needs
said appointment scheduling was convenient
rated the usefulness of the service as ‘Extremely useful’
These responses matter to us because they reflect the kind of experience we want every person to have – one that feels respectful, supportive and shaped around their individual needs.
