We are accredited

Break the Silence is an accredited service, which means our work meets recognised standards for safety, ethics, and quality. For survivors, this offers reassurance that you are supported by a service that is accountable, regularly reviewed, and committed to doing things properly. Our accreditations reflect our responsibility to provide care that is safe, respectful, and centred around your needs.

Accreditation shows our commitment to providing a safe, trustworthy service. Break the Silence is accredited by the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP), and we follow their Ethical Framework in how we support you.

Our clinical staff are qualified and registered with professional bodies such as BACP, COSCA, BPS, or BABCP, and continue to develop their skills. Everyone involved in our organisation is PVG/Disclosure checked. We protect your privacy by handling your information securely and in line with UK data protection law, and our Cyber Essentials certification reflects our focus on keeping your data safe.

We are also committed to learning and improving. Our EFQM accreditation recognises our approach to quality and accountability. We include the voices of people with lived experience, including at Board level, to help shape our service. We also provide trauma-informed training, raise awareness, and support early intervention through our wider work.
